Meating the Grillmaster
The title “grillmaster” is not thrown around lightly. This title is earned through countless attempts at pleasing the crowd. A person can know how to work a grill and can cook on a grill. Grillmaster carries weight. This title makes it known to your guest and others about who is in charge of this BBQ. Getting to know the man behind the grill is critical is making sure you get what you want and how you want it. For a grill master like myself, all you need to do is show up for a perfect grilled piece of meat.
My name is Matthew Alwan, Matt for short or Meat-Man for my nickname. This name has been part of me for years. People that know me know I love to cook. Family and friends are the ones who get to enjoy it the most, but I am always up for cooking for anyone. Grilling for me has always come easy, even from a young age. It relaxes me and gives me a chance to drink some nice cold beer.
Family always comes first for me. I only have one family, so making sure they are happy and okay with my cooking is major. I have been in charge of making sure every meal is ready to go for the past 5 years. Birthdays, holidays, casual Sunday’s or any dinner, my mom and I prepare every meal side-by-side. She has taught me so much in the kitchen that it should help translate IF I find myself a girlfriend to cook for. That was the main reason I learned how to cook, was to find a girlfriend. About 10 years later and I am still in there, but much better at hitting all the taste buds.
Some things you should know about me, your grill master, is that I love to have a good time. I am an individual that is down for anything. I enjoy every chance I can to be with my friends. Why? After college, you do not know when or who you will see. Grilling for my friends brings satisfaction for myself and my friends. Seeing their eyes light up as they see me take the meat off the grill. Watch their eyes roll back in their head as they cut the meat and watch the juices pouring out. They have designated me as an all-time griller, no matter what the circumstances are. This is something that we can all achieve through some practice.
